Savoring Paris
Where to Eat — By Neighborhood....Paris is not a city you eat in.
It is a city where you savor the foods of each neighborhood. Each neighborhood has its own rhythm… its own dishes… its own way of sitting at the table.
And once you understand that—
everything changes.

Eiffel Tower Area (7th Arrondissement)
Your First Paris Dinner. This is where most journeys begin.
Yes—it’s a little more polished, a little more aware of visitors…
But it delivers exactly what you came for.
What to Order:
Steak frites
French onion soup
Duck confit
A glass of Bordeaux

Sit outside if you can.
Let the Eiffel Tower anchor your evening.
This is not where you search for hidden gems.
This is where you arrive in Paris.
I do not have Breakfast Wine unless it is a
good Champagne
But when you are on vacation...who cares!
Live Boldly and Enjoy!
Montmartre
This is my favorite neighborhood in Paris. Where You Start Eating Like a Local
This is where everything shifts. Stay here—and Paris changes.
In the off-season, especially November, something rare happens:
You walk into a restaurant… and there are empty tables.
You hear conversations.
Laughter.
A birthday being celebrated at the next table.
This is not staged.
This is Paris living.
What to Order:
Boeuf bourguignon
Coq au vin
A carafe of red wine
The food feels deeper here. Slower. Because it is.

Saint-Germain-des-Prés
The Art of Sitting Well. This is not about the meal.
This is about the moment.
Chairs face outward so you can watch the world pass by—
and be part of it at the same time.
What to Order:
Café crème
Croque monsieur
A glass of Sancerre
And then… do nothing. This is where you learn:
Paris is not about doing more. It’s about staying longer.

Le Marais
Light, Lively, and a Little Unexpected. Le Marais feels different.
More relaxed....More playful.....A mix of old Paris and something slightly modern.
What to Order:
A fresh salad with goat cheese
Falafel
Charcuterie with a glass of wine
Something sweet from a nearby pâtisserie
This is where you wander… and eat along the way. A Simple Truth About Eating in Paris You don’t need a list of restaurants.
You need to understand the neighborhood you’re in.
Near the Eiffel Tower → classic and reliable
Montmartre → soulful and local
Saint-Germain → elegant and observational
Le Marais → relaxed and exploratory
And once you know that…You can walk into almost anywhere—
and know exactly what to order.
Closing Reflection
Paris doesn’t ask you to rush from place to place.
It asks you to notice where you are…sit down…
and order accordingly.
Because the magic isn’t just in the food—
It’s in knowing you chose exactly the right place to be.
"In Paris, every neighborhood feeds you differently—
the secret is knowing what you came for."
